Big Sean explains why having his first child made him change everything in his life “I feel like even though he’s my son, I feel like he’s teaching me”

In 2022, Big Sean and Jhené Aiko became parents for the first time with the arrival of their son, Noah. Even though the “Sativa” musician had a daughter named Namiko Aiko before this, it was the rapper’s first.

Sean featured the most recent edition of ESSENCE today (April 23). In it, he talked about being a parent and his desire to collaborate on a film with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, among other topics. With regard to the lessons he has learned from raising Noah so far, the musician shared, “One of the biggest lessons of fatherhood that I love is just enjoying the simple things.”

Prior to becoming a mother, I felt like I largely neglected that. My point is that if Sean and I are strolling outdoors and he sees a plant or the sky, he might reach out and touch a flower, Sean explained. The flower is another something I appreciate. I value him because, despite the fact that he is my son, he still manages to teach me things.

In addition to discussing the creator of Dark Sky Paradise’s upcoming album, the magazine touched on the difficulty of juggling fatherhood and other pursuits. Following loose songs “Whole Time (Freestyle)” and “Clarity,” Sean released “Precision” in March.

Sean has a lot going on with the release of new music and his debut book on October 8. Aiming to assist readers in reaching their full potential via five transformative activities, the literary project titled “Go Higher: Five Practices for Purpose, Success, and Inner Peace” seeks to inspire them.

2020 saw the release of Sean’s most recent album, Detroit 2. Tracks like “Deep Reverence,” which featured Nipsey Hussle, and “Harder Than My Demons” were highlights of the album. The lineup also included Ty Dolla Sign, Young TҺug, Post Malone, Eminem, and Post Malone.

However, later this year, Jhené is slated to go on her debut tour. On June 19, she will embark on her “The Magic Hour Tour,” which will feature Kiana Ledé, Tink, UMI, and Coi Leray as supporting artists.
