Travis Scott, a prominent rapper now, surprisingly had little interest in rapping when he was younger.
The singer of “Antidote” revealed his early occupation to GQ: he was a nephrologist, or kidney doctor.
He explained his interest in the industry by relating the story of how he stumbled into his ideal job during an overnight at a friend’s house.
“We went to his crib,” the 32-year-old made a comment. It was insаne in his cradle. A crib like this has never been seen before. Time was of the essence. Dr. Obgyn was his father. I questioned his uncle, “What do you do?” while he was at the house; I’ll never forget it. His response was, “I’m a nephrologist.” When he described it to me, I thought, “Yo, it’s crаzy.” ‘Yeah, I want to be that.'”
His next words were, Being a renal doctor was incredibly challenging for some reason. According to him, it was his charisma. His whole demeanor was so new and exciting. You have no idea. The concept of rescuing people was really cool back then.
Until he enrolled at the University of Texas in San Antonio, Travis was completely devoted to the field, he revealed.
I used to work as a hospital shadow. “So I became even more enamoured with it there, with the entire process,” he continued. “I wаnted to own my own practice, know the business side of it, do the medicine side of it.”
