Vin Diesel’s wealth was first revealed through his collection of expensive and rare supercars, leaving fans in awe.
It was undoubtedly expected that the actor would be interested automobiles given his name, Vin Diesel. That or a glass of wine. However, screaming about in an authentic American muscle vehicle better fits the hard-man image than drinking a lively beaujolais and debating its gooseberry undertones.
He has had the good fortune to combine his passion with his work as the star of around seven trillion films in the Fast And Furious series. He also had the good fortune to preserve some of the jaw-dropping movie engines. To celebrate Diesel’s 53rd birthday, here is a collection of some of his greatest automobiles. It is unclear how many vehicles Diesel has, including maybe the guy himself.
1. Mazda RX-7 from 1993
One of the most popular sports cars of the 1990s was the third-generation Mazda RX-7, which had a 1.3-liter twin turbo engine that produced 255 horsepower. In 1993, the American car mag Motor Trend awarded it Import Car Of The Year. The RX-7 was deemed better to a Dodge Viper in a comparison by Playboy magazine the same year. One of the (very rare) 2×2 hatchback variants is the Diesel version (as in, he owns it, not what makes it go brrm brrm).
2. Toyota Supra (1994)
It’s definitely better to avoid driving about in an eye-catching orange sports vehicle that was a key component in a successful movie series if you want to cruise the streets of Los Angeles without being seen. However, the Supra’s six-cylinder, 320-bhp engine, which propels the vehicle from 0 to 60 in 4.6 seconds, makes it impossible to say no. The fourth-generation Toyota Celica and Diesel variant of this JDM (Japanese domestic market) classic, which debuted in 1978, has a peak speed of 160 mph.
3. Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Stingray from 1963
The first of its kind, a vehicle particularly lightened for racing, was the 1963 Corvette Stingray Grand Sport. The vehicle had a vacuum brake booster, large-diameter shocks, and springs that were about twice as firm as those on a conventional model. It also had a front anti-roll bar. Basically, this automobile was made to race, and as a result, a certain Mr. Diesel was certain to notice it. Only 199 of this automobile were ever produced, which makes it more cooler and makes it something of a collectible.
4. 1966 Pontiac Bonneville
From a vehicle specifically designed to be light to one that makes no effort to hide the fact that it is essentially a tank. The 5.8-meter-long Bonneville, which GM produced from 1958 to 2005, is a monstrous vehicle and one of the largest Pontiacs ever made. Given that it weighs around 2.5 tonnes, it is unlikely to get any environmental honors. However, this 1966 model is a definite American classic because to its 6.9-liter V8 engine and coke-bottle design.
5. Sprinter Van by Rolls-Royce
Tyrese Gibson is a singer-songwriter, novelist, rapper, actor, model, VJ, and screenwriter best known for his role as Roman Pearce in the Furious series. Though you’d think that would be plenty to keep him busy, he also enjoys remodeling Mercedes Sprinter vehicles in his leisure time. This was his first creation; it resembles a cross between a Sprinter and a Rolls-Royce and has the Spirit Of Ecstasy bonnet adornment. The opulent interior, which would make Liberace blush, has fridge and enormous TV in addition to maroon and gold upholstery with huge monogrammed Rolls-Royce insignia. Gibson created a second one after giving the first one to his co-star and buddy Diesel since he loved it so much.
6. 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX STI
Back to the 2.5-liter monster driven by a twin-scroll turbocharger and very quick street vehicles. It’s hardly surprising to see this in the Diesel collection considering it is one of the most well-known street racing vehicles worldwide. This model has body-colored door handles, electronic stability control, and rear disc brakes. Although everything is incredibly remarkable, why on earth would you refer to anything as a STI? Next, what? The Syphilis of Chevrolet?
7. 1970 Dodge Charger R/T
Diesel’s character, Dom Toretto, uses this vehicle the most of the time in the Furious movies. It was provided to the actor by Justin Lin, who has helmed four films in the series. With its 440 “Magnum” V8 engine and high-performance Road/Track package, this model is tough to resist being jealous of, even if it is always satisfying to watch one of the highest-paid performers in the world get so many free cars.
8. BMW E60 M5 (2010)
This seems like a decent family vehicle that would be ideal for a father with three kids. However, as you would anticipate, this is a family vehicle with plenty of power. The last model in the M5 series has a massive 500 horsepower and a seven-gear manual transmission. It can go from 0 to 62 mph in 4.2 seconds and has a peak speed of 204 mph. It is the first passenger automobile in the world to have a V120 petrol engine. That makes sense in our book.
9. 2014’s Lykan Hypersport
Speaking of rational, this vehicle may be the least sensible ever created. It is made by Lebanese company W Motors and boasts a 780 horsepower, 3.7-liter twin-turbo engine that allows it to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in under 2.8 seconds and reach a peak speed of 245 mph. Customers must decide whether they want sapphires, rubies, diamonds, yellow diamonds, or holographic displays incorporated into the headlamps in addition to having gold stitching on the seats and holographic displays instead of touchscreen panels in the center console. Although it wasn’t given to Diesel, the automobile appeared in Fast And Furious 7. It had to be his. At around £3M. It’s one of just seven in the globe.
