Charlamagne Tha God says nobody cares about Kanye West rapping

Being divisive is nothing new for Kanye West. Several of West’s public remarks since 2022 have been interpreted as antisemitic, leading to widespread condemnation and the loss of multiple business partnerships for the artist. His support of Dоnald Trump and the MAGA movement made him divisive among rap artists and fans before that. The criticism, though, has gotten so bad that listeners don’t care about the music anymore, says Charlamagne Tha God.

Specifically, Charlamagne brought up West’s involvement in the year’s greatest rap beef. Even though Drake and Kendrick Lamar were the center of attention, the dispute involved a lot of other people. Contributors included, among others, Rick Ross, J. Cole, Future, Metro Boomin, and The Weeknd. Many people also appear to have forgotten that Kanye West tried to get into the beef. He tweeted and posted on Instagram about how he “washed” Kendrick and Drake. Attacking J. Cole was something he was really interested in doing as well. However, Charlamagne claims that the public has lost interest in West’s role. See his thoughts on the matter down below.

In 2024, Charlamagne continued his trend of outspoken criticism by criticizing Kanye. He makes the comment, “if Kanye would’ve done this 10 years ago,” in regard to West’s attempt to incorporate himself into the feud between Drake and Kendrick. “Its like OH SH*T…. nobody gives a f*ck about Kanye rapping in 2024,” said he. Charlamagne has been quite vocal about the beef that has been on rap fans’ minds for the whole year. He went so far as to plot out a strategy that he believes Drake might still prevail.
