Drake just covers “Hey There Delilah” into Toronto slang, causing netizens to heavily criticize it

Drake stated that his feud with Kendrick Lamar was over. Classics like “Controlla” and “Passionfruit” fans were ecstatic about his preparations for “summer vibes.” Drizzy has never been bad with hits, even though he lost the K. Dot duel. Do you agree? It appears that interest in “summer vibes” has waned. The 6 God chose to release a cover of “Hey There Delilah” by Plain White T., which was a radical departure from their usual sound. I know which one you’re talking about. However, Drake inverted the title, making it “Wah Gwan Delilah.”

It becomes even more convoluted because it’s a cover version of a song by the musician Snowd4y that has been remixed. By jumping on a song that was already starting to get some attention, Drake executed a Soundcloud-era move. The problem is, I don’t understand the song selection. The 6 God added Autotone to his vocals and replaced the original lyrics with Toronto lingo, making it even more unique. Although the language has produced some decent songs, this one is completely without merit. “Wah Gwan Delilah” will give Drake detractors plenty of ammunitiоn.I simply want to show my dog your Instagram. He sings, “I’m so cheesed” after saying he knows a guy who slapped it. I am subtly smitten with your’mademoiselle’ evenings. Oh my, Delilah! If you feel the same way, we can go on a double date. This couplet is so unbearable that it doesn’t even need analysis. It sounds terrible when recorded and looks terrible on paper. It should be noted that this is the sole Snowd4y song featured on Genius. Drake wants to collaborate with Snowd4ay because he is a new artist from the 6th. To be honest, I have no idea what the rapper was thinking when he accepted to be a part of this remix, except from representing the city.

The social media reaction to “Wah Gwan Delilah” is obviously fueled by this perplexity. Following his figҺt with Kendrick Lamar, fans are curious as to what’s happening with Drake and whether he will ever recover. It was ridiculous to think the rapper would have trouble recovering from the cоnflict, but this is a terrible album. “Drake dropped that sh**ty song wah gwan Delilah with the Toronto accent,” according to a user. “We not beating the washed allegations.” Another was perplexed by the rapid decline of Drake’s musical output. Tweeting, “Drake is unreal,” they expressed their belief. “Just had one of the most insаne beefs in hip hop history and drops this sh*t right after.”
