Rapper Travis Scott was taken into custody in the Miami region early Thursday morning on accusations of disorderly drunkenness and trespassing after an altercation on a charter boat in the port. Scott was lodged into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center early Thursday morning.
At 4:35 a.m. on Thursday, the rapper, whose real nаme is Jacques Webster, was booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on charges of disorderly drunkenness and trespassing after a warning, according to Miami-Dade County Corrections and Rehabilitation.
Scott was reportedly freed from custody hours after his intake, as he tweeted a simple “Lol” at 8:45 a.m. EST, after his bond was set at a combined $650.Reporter Sheldon Fox of Fox 7 News in Miami said that Scott was apprehended while on a chartered yacht in Miami Harbor; however, no other information regarding the arrest was disclosed as of press time.
According to Miami Beach Police, Scott was detained on two counts after he “was Ԁrunk, causing a disturbаnce and asked to leave multiple times,” as reported by Fox.Rolling Stone’s request for comment went unanswered by Scott’s representatives for some time. According to Rolling Stone’s sources, the event was described as “a minor incident akin to receiving a ticket with no injuries.” Scott paid bail, and the matter was closed, as there was no physical altercation involved.
Scott was not criminally charged for the Houston crowd crush that killed 10 people and injured hundreds more; the family of Ezra Blount, the nine-year-old who died in the crush at Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival in 2021, settled the last remaining wrongful deаth lawsuit related to the tragedy one month before his arrest.
