Kanye West texts Rich The Kid saying he is retiring from professional music

Although it might not be true, Rich The Kid stunneԀ fans this week by sharing what appeared to be a text message from Kanye West declaring his retirement from music.

On Tuesday, July 9, Ye announced her retirement from professional music in an Instagram Story screenshot that Rich has since removed. Uncertain about my next steps. After that, Rich writes, “Retire?,” in an effort to persuade him to remain. Why? How is it done? The music that you and Ty have created together was the most significant cultural touchstone up until this point in 2024, and people NEED you. The kids need you, huge brа, fasho. Maybe you’ll retire, but in the meantime, forget about my and V[ultures]2.

But Ye quickly removed it and went to X to promote his new album, Life’s A Gаmble, on which Ty Dolla $ign and Ye serve as executive producers.

While responding to a XXL story that featured Ye’s retirement text, he added, “ACTUALLY WE DROPPING FRIDAY 7/19” along with laughing emojis. In his response, he revealed the album’s tracklist, which contains Notorious B.I.A., Chief Keef, Peso Pluma, Offset, Rob49, French Montana, Ye, Ty, and the late TakeOff and Quavo.

You will also find Ye and Ty’s “Carnival” from their album VULTURES.In March, while celebrating his No. 1 single “Carnival” (which features Playboi Carti) and his collaboration with Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign on VULTURES, Rich The Kid revealed that the two artists would be serving as executive producers on his upcoming album.

He shared a screenshot of the Billboard Hоt 100 chart with the caption, “# 1 on billboard with family @ye @tydollasign & @playboicarti.” I am eternally grateful to my adoring followers and my loving family. Produced by Ye and Ty$ OTW, #V2 and My [new] album executiveHis January announcement of Life’s A Gаmble included an unnamed release window of Spring 2024.

Speculation at the time indicated that Kanye, Offset, Travis Barker, and Rob49 would all be featured guests.

Rich hasn’t released an album in four years, so this LP is a treat. Boss Man, his most recent album, was released in March 2020. Despite including features from Lil Baby, DaBaby, Nicki Minaj, Post Malone, Lil Tjay, NBA YoungBoy, Quavo, and others, the project was underwhelming and quickly fell from the charts after debuting at No. 24 on the Billboard 200.
