Meek Mill stresses in a new long Twitter statement his importance to hip-hop

There are a lot of reasons why Meek Mill’s legacy has been questioned online recently. His latest EP didn’t exactly break records, but it hasn’t stopped his devoted fan base from holding him to his word. Then, producer Lil Rod sued Diddy, and he was named in the complaint only a few weeks afterwards. Fans nevertheless attacked Meek online, taking the accusations at its value despite denials from all parties involved.

He is now taking action to defend himself, beginning with an interview he gave to DJ Drаmа in 2023, in which he denied that Meek was his generation’s Jay-Z. His response was, to put it mildly, a little disjointed. I will tell you the trutҺ without mentioning Drake… Culture of the biker, the’meek billionaire,’ and rap all intertwined He tweeted, “Really, I’ve been through poverty and the system. ‘Meek’ is changing laws. ‘Meek’ showed the most new artists love with my platform. ‘Meek.’” As a result, he took to Twitter to defend his hip-hop career and legacy. Below, you can see the tweet that started the whole thing rolling.

In subsequent tweets, Meek attempted to bolster his reputation as an eloquent champion for social justice. The typical person growing up in our society is trapped in a never-ending cycle of probation, which I ended by changing four laws. I have contributed and helped bring milliоns to the city of Philadelphia through Mike Rubin and Kevin Hart! “Reform has actual job fairs!” one poster wrote. “I have spent years bringing communities out of the jungles… Plus, I’m a rap superstar! In a word, “excellent,” the blog post series finishes.
